The Roatan Health Assistance Project and the community of Roatan, Honduras are indebted to the kind sponsors who make this college volunteer experience possible for pre-health students.  Their generous donations support not only the life changing global education of these American students, but also La Clinica Esperanza and the entire Roatan, Honduras community.  Without sustained support from our sponsors, RHAP would be unable to fund these volunteer trips or to positively impact at least one part of the underprivileged world.

Tax-deductible contributions of money are collected on an on-going basis.  100% of the donations go directly towards volunteer scholarships to worthy candidates (worth $1,500 each, covering travel, room, and limited food for 28 days, per student), as well as medical supplies for the clinic in Honduras.  Absolutely none of the donated money is used for personal gain by members of the Roatan Health Assistance Project or by any of its affiliates.

Monetary donation is not the only way that sponsors can contribute.  Generous donations of time (through pro bono legal and accounting counsel, business advice, and help with fundraising) allow RHAP to be a self-sustaining not for profit organization.  RHAP also collects small toys and books for an orphanage in the city of Coxen Hole, Roatan; books for the children of Sandy Bay School (a five-room elementary school that services 210 students); and approved medical supplies for La Clinica Esperanza and the Volunteer Pediatric Clinic in the Municipal Hospital of Roatan.  Find a list of requests here.
